The Sox were on the field Wed night in their 2nd game game against Brooks Bombers and rebounded with a 6-0 win. Klevert Martina was fantastic on the mound for Regina pitching 8 innings of 2 hit baseball. Cade Nelson had a big 3 run 1st inning homerun and the Sox didn’t look back.

Fast forward to Thursday late afternoon and the Queen City kids rolled north up Highway to to Sylvan Lake to take on the Edmonton Prospects who are playing in a host of ball parks this season while their new baseball stadium in Spruce Grove gets built.

Regina starter Braden Houston pitched 7 2/3 innings allowing 3 runs on 7 hits. Braden got help getting the final out of the 8th inning by Preston Tenney and then Andy Cook pitched the top of the 9th inning allowing 0 hits and struck out 1 Prospect batter. The Sox had 14 hits all through the lineup. Cade Nelson led the way with 3 hits and Travis Johnson and Chase Taylor chipped in with 2 hits each.

The Sox trail the Moose Jaw Miller Express by 4 games and Moose Jaw takes the field right behind the Sox in Sylvan Lake vs Edmonton Prospects.

Tomorrow  night Regina heads way north to take on Fort MacMurray Giants at 7:00 PM! Cath the action on HomeTeam (hometeamlive.com)

Regina is back at Currie Field Monday at 6:00 PM for a double header vs Medicine Hat Mavericks.
