Sox drop second game in a row with a 7-2 loss to Saskatoon!

Sports can cruel at times. The baseball gods can give and take away. After going on a 12-game tear the Sox found themselves loosing back-to-back games with today’s loss.

Not much went right today but the one shining star was Regina product Zander Oudie-Sengers long relief appearance. Zander pitched 4 innings of 2 hit baseball and allowed no runs pitching the back half of the baseball game. Brendon Gutierrez started the game for Regina and pitch 5 innings allowing 7 runs (all earned on only 6 hits). Two Saskatoon homeruns did most of the damage this afternoon.

Regina’s bats were held in check tonight by Berries starter Wyatt Wiatrex who pitched 7 innings of 5 hit baseball and earned the win.  Offensively Jackson Syring had Regina’s only 2 hit game and did so on his 24th Birthday.

Next home game for the Sox is Wednesday July 3rd. This will be a double header starting at 6:00 vs Saskatoon Berries.

Anyone holding a ticket from the rained-out game June 28th can bring their ticket to this game or another regular season game for entry into the park
