The Sox lost game 1 of a 2 game set in Medicine Hat Friday evening. The Mavericks got good pitching and pounded out 8 runs on 15 hits. For the most part the Sox bats were cold all night, only managing 6 hits on the night. Max Lecroy accounted for half of the 6 hits going 3 for 5 on the night. Kendall Keller went 2 for 4 and Cade Nelson had 1 hit and the lone Sox RBI. The rest of the lineup went hitless.
Bryson Sanchez pitched into the 5th inning allowing 9 hits and 4 earned runs. Levent Eldem finished off the 5th inning allowing a hit and 1 run. Allen Yen pitched 2 innings allowing 5 hits and 2 earned runs. Game two of the set goes Saturday night in Medicine Hat 7:00 PM
