Monday night proved to be a huge success for the Red Sox on and off the field. The Sox beat the Miller Express for the 4th night in a row 4-0 in front of a packed Currie Field. Over 1100 attended the event a Currie Field which included many Rider players and office staff. Shout out to Jamal Morrow and Mike Edem who were great sports and got involved with some of the on field activities and signed tons of autographs!

 

The Sox received another outstanding start from a new pitcher all the way from Curacao. Klevert (Clay) Martina who pitches as a freshman at Western Oklahoma College was outstanding. Clay pitched 8 innings allowing 6 hits and no runs. This was his his first start of his WCBL career. Regina product Zanger Oudie-Zenger pitched the 9th allowing 2 hits and no runs.

 

 

The Sox offense was led by Michael Zinter , Mike Kenney and Zane Zielinski who also had 2 hits each.

With the 4 straight wins for Moose Jaw the Red Sox are now .5 game out of first place and have tied the Millers in the Trans Canada Clash with 5 wins each. The trophy will be presented to the winner of game 11 on Aug 4th when the Sox play at Ross Wells Park.
