Regina, Sask. — The Regina Red Sox are pleased to announce the signings of left-handed pitcher Colton Bank and right-handed pitcher Daniel Crabtree for the upcoming 2026 Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL) season.

“Colton had a breakout year for us in 2025 and really showed what he’s capable of, especially with some strong performances early in the season,” said Red Sox Field Manager Rye Pothakos. “We’re excited to see him take the next step in his development in 2026.”

“We’re also thrilled to welcome Daniel back to Regina,” continued Pothakos. “Danny is a leader on our pitching staff — he throws strikes, competes every time out, and gives you a chance to win whenever he takes the ball. We’re really looking forward to having him back in a Red Sox uniform.”

Bank, a Regina native, returns to the Red Sox for his fourth season with the club. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound left-hander appeared in 11 games (three starts) in 2025, posting a 0–2 record and a 6.25 ERA while striking out 24 batters and walking just six over 27.1 innings pitched. Bank also made a key postseason appearance, tossing four innings against the Saskatoon Berries, allowing two earned runs on five hits, issuing one walk, and striking out one.

Crabtree returns to Regina after last suiting up for the Red Sox in 2024, bringing proven durability and command back to the rotation. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound right-hander posted a 4–3 record with a 4.54 ERA across 12 games (11 starts) in 2024, including one shutout. The Marietta, Georgia product struck out 43 batters while walking 18 over 69.1 innings, good for an impressive 2.3 BB/9 rate.

The Point University (NAIA) senior also pitched for Regina in 2023, where he went 4–3 with a 3.14 ERA over 12 appearances (10 starts), recording 35 strikeouts across 68.2 innings. At Point University, Crabtree pitched in one game during the 2025 season, following a strong junior campaign in 2024, when he appeared in 20 games (five starts) and walked just 11 batters in 49.1 innings. Known for his command, Crabtree owns a career 2.7 BB/9 split between his time with the Red Sox and Point University.

The Regina Red Sox are excited to welcome both Bank and Crabtree back to the club as the organization continues to build toward a promising and competitive 2026 WCBL season.
