The Regina Red Sox were well represented on the 2026 Western Canadian Baseball League Regular Season All-Star Teams, earning four selections across the First, Second and Third Teams, as well as the Honourable Mentions.
The selections were voted on by more than 20 WCBL coaches and members of the media who cover the league.
Infielder Brady Bye and starting pitcher Kaegan Baker were named Second Team All-Stars, while reliever David Gordon earned Third Team All-Star honours. Outfielder Ian Montz was named an Honourable Mention.
Bye put together one of the best offensive seasons in Red Sox history, setting new franchise single-season records with 13 home runs and 67 RBI.
The White City, Sask., product became the first player in club history to reach double digits in home runs, surpassing the previous record of nine. His 67 RBI also eclipsed the previous mark of 64, set by Kody Hanna in 2024.
Bye’s 67 RBI ranked second in the WCBL, while his 13 home runs were tied for fourth. He finished the season batting .344 with a .393 on-base percentage and .579 slugging percentage, good for a .973 OPS.
He also collected 76 hits, finishing just four shy of Griffin Keller’s franchise record of 80 set in 2019.
Baker earned Second Team All-Star recognition after serving as one of Regina’s top starters throughout the 2026 campaign.
The right-hander went 6-2 in 10 starts, finishing second on the Red Sox with 53.2 innings pitched. He posted a 5.37 ERA while striking out 62 batters and issuing just 20 walks.
Gordon was recognized among the WCBL’s top relievers after leading the Red Sox bullpen in innings pitched.
He appeared in 37.1 innings, going 3-2 with four saves and a 5.06 ERA, while striking out 39 batters.
Montz rounded out Regina’s All-Star selections with an Honourable Mention after another productive offensive campaign.
In 29 games, Montz hit .327 with a .421 on-base percentage and .604 slugging percentage, producing a 1.025 OPS. He added six home runs and 30 RBI.
