Regina, Sask. — The Regina Red Sox are pleased to announce the signings of returning players Vittorio Iacobucci (RHP), Ian Montz (OF) and Zander Odie-Senger (RHP), along with the addition of infielder Cooper Jones for the upcoming season.

Iacobucci, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound right-handed pitcher from Vancouver, B.C., returns for his third season with the Red Sox. Currently in his junior campaign at Point University, Iacobucci has posted a 3-3 record in 10 appearances (five starts), along with a 6.92 ERA over 26 innings of work.

During the 2025 season with Regina, Iacobucci appeared in 12 games out of the bullpen, finishing with a 0-3 record and a 5.54 ERA while striking out 25 batters across 24.1 innings. He elevated his game in the postseason, recording one save in three appearances, allowing no runs and striking out five. Over his Red Sox career, Iacobucci has totaled 47 strikeouts in 47 innings, posting a 4.79 ERA.

“Bucci is a quality arm that’s maturing into a top-flight WCBL pitcher,” said Red Sox field manager Rye Pothakos. “He’s a guy who can give you a spot start, work in middle relief, or come in during high-leverage situations. That kind of versatility is incredibly valuable over the grind of a WCBL season. We’re excited to have him back.”

Montz returns after a productive 2025 campaign with Regina, where the 23-year-old outfielder hit .285 with a .305 on-base percentage and a .901 OPS. The Lafayette, Louisiana product clubbed four home runs and drove in 18 runs across 33 games.

Montz also enjoyed a strong collegiate season at LSU Shreveport, batting .304 with a .473 on-base percentage and a 1.060 OPS in 54 games. He recorded 21 extra-base hits and 45 RBIs. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound outfielder played a key role in the Red Sox playoff run, hitting four home runs and driving in seven runs over eight games, going 8-for-33 at the plate.

“Montz was a monster in the 2025 WCBL playoffs and was stellar in centre field all season,” said Red Sox field manager Rye Pothakos. “We’re excited to have him back — he brings experience, leadership, and a strong presence to our lineup.”

Returning for his fifth season with the club is right-handed pitcher Zander Odie-Senger. A Regina product who first joined the Red Sox as an affiliate player in 2021, Oddie-Senger is now a senior at Okanagan College.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound right-hander has logged 135 career innings with the Red Sox, posting a 10-4 record over 60 appearances (10 starts) with a 4.40 ERA. He has recorded 84 strikeouts and 56 walks during his time in Regina. Last season, Oddie-Senger went 3-1 in 12 games (two starts), finishing with a 4.61 ERA over 25.1 innings, striking out 17 and walking 10. His standout campaign came in 2023, when he posted a 2.43 ERA across 12 appearances (three starts).

“Zander is a veteran arm who has grown into a leader for our Club and a reliable piece of our rotation,” said Pothakos. “He’s a guy who wants the ball and provides valuable depth to our pitching staff. As a senior, he understands the league, what it takes to be successful, and how to prepare day in and day out.”

Joining the Red Sox for the first time is Cooper Jones, a 6-foot-1, 175-pound infielder from American Fork, Utah. Jones is currently a freshman at Brigham Young University, where he is batting .281 with two home runs, 10 RBIs, a .531 slugging percentage and a .361 on-base percentage through 12 games.

“Cooper is an athletic player who’s already making an impact as a freshman at BYU,” added Pothakos. “He has the ability to play all three infield positions, and we’re looking forward to the energy he’ll bring to our lineup.”

The Red Sox look forward to the impact all three players will bring as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
