With the Red Sox loss last night in Lethbridge and a combination of a Moose Jaw loss and Swift Current win the race in the East Division is getting exciting.

Regina record dropped to 28-21 with a 6-5 loss in Lethbridge. Regina took a 5-2 lead into the 8th inning but Regina gave up 4 runs in the bottom of the inning and lost the lead and ultimately the game.

 

The Sox got another great start from one of their starting pitchers again. Klevert Martina (Western Oklahoma College) pitched 7 innings allowing 2 runs on 7 hits and struck out 6 batters. Zane Pollon (Mount Marty University) only managed to get 1 out in the 8th and needed help from Andy Cook (Lenoir Rhyne) . Lethbridge scored 4 runs on 4 hits and was aided by a couple wild pitches and a walk.

 

Regina had 10 hits in the game. Cade Nelson (Scottsdale CC) was 3 for 3 with 1 RBI. Mike Kenney (Scottsdale CC) continues to lead the league in hitting .412 and went 4 for 5. The Sox got 1 hit from Zane Zielinski (Northeast CC), Max LeCroy Lenoir Rhyne) , Diego Aragon (Indian Hills CC) and Christopher Munoz ( Western Oklahoma College) .

Regina play Lethbridge tonight before returning to Currie Field Sunday at 2:00 PM to host the Fort MacMurray Giants.
