Regina, Sask. — The Regina Red Sox are excited to announce their Annual Red Sox Dinner and Auction, scheduled for Saturday, April 25 at 7pm at the Turvey Centre, featuring special guest Kevin Pillar.
Fans, supporters, and members of the community are invited to an evening celebrating baseball in Regina while supporting the Red Sox organization.
The event will begin with a VIP reception at 5:00 p.m., followed by hospitality at 6:00 p.m., with dinner beginning at 7:00 p.m. inside the Turvey Centre, located at 100 Armour Road.
The evening will be hosted by Cody Glydon, who will serve as the event’s Master of Ceremony. A Hot Stove-style Q&A panel will feature Kevin Pillar, and will be hosted by Dave Thomas, the radio voice of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, giving fans the opportunity to hear stories, insights, and behind-the-scenes perspectives from Pillar’s Major League career.
Pillar announced his retirement in July 2025 following a 13-season Major League Baseball career. He is best known for his time with the Toronto Blue Jays from 2013–2019, where he starred in centre field and became one of the Club’s most recognizable players. Renowned for his highlight-reel defensive plays, Pillar was a key piece of the Blue Jays teams that reached the American League Championship Series during the Club’s memorable playoff runs in 2015 and 2016.
After seven seasons in Toronto, Pillar continued his career across the MLB, spending time with the San Francisco Giants, New York Mets, Los Angeles Angels, Atlanta Braves, Boston Red Sox, Colorado Rockies, Texas Rangers, Chicago White Sox, and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Following his playing career, Pillar has transitioned into broadcasting and media. He now serves as an occasional television analyst for the Blue Jays on Sportsnet, and is regularly featured on the baseball show Foul Territory alongside Scott Braun, A. J. Pierzynski, and Erik Kratz. He has also appeared on programming with the MLB Network.
Tables of eight (8) can be purchased for the event, as well as individual tickets.
The Annual Dinner and Auction is one of the organization’s premier off-season events and offers a chance for fans to connect with fellow supporters while helping support the continued success of the Regina Red Sox.
