The Sox defeated Weyburn Beavers last night in one of those games that happens from time to time in baseball. The Sox plated 14 runs in the 3rd inning, another rare feat that happens maybe once or twice a year. The Sox fans wanted offence and they got offence!
The offensive outburst over shadowed a well pitched game by the Sox. Preston Tenney pitched 6 scoreless innings of 1 hit baseball. Levent Eldem pitched 1 clean inning and Regina product Zander Oudie-Sanger finished the game with two scoreless innings pitched.
Offensive highlights: Cade Nelson went 4 for 4 with 2 RBI, Travis Johnson went 4 for 5 with 5 RBI and the rest of the lineup all contributed to the 18 hit game.
The Sox are in Swift Current Friday and Saturday night to play the 57’s in back to back road game!
