The baseball gods have not looked down favorably on the Red Sox the last 3 outings. The Sox are receiving good starting pitching but the bats have been cold and the bullpen has not been able to hold leads. The Red Sox lost their 2nd game extra inning game to Moose Jaw Millers last night 8-5. The previous night in Weyburn the Sox had bases loaded in the top of the 9th and failed to score with the game tied at 1-1. They eventually lost the game in the bottom of the 9th. With some timely hitting they could have won all 3 games but instead suffered 3 losses in a row. The good news is the starting pitching has been great. In Weyburn Andy Cook went 7 innings allowing 2 hits and struck 13 Beavers Batters! He allowed no runs and walked 2.

The Red Sox only managed 4 hits and struck out 14 times but still could have won the game with one timely hit in the bottom of the 9th!

With the international tie breaker rule placing runners on 1st and 2nd Moose Jae bats game to life and they scored 4 runs and the Sox replied with 1 run.
