The Red Sox played the spoiler roll in the East Division Final upsetting the record breaking Saskatoon Berries 6-2 in Game 3 held in Saskatoon.

Regina captures games 1 and 3 in the series winning both their games on the road.

2300 Berrie’s fans left Cairins Field disappointed but should be proud of their record breaking regular season.

The Red Sox were led offensively from Rafael Jackson and Brady Bye who had 2 hits and 3 RBI. Regina outhit the Berries 9 to 7. Carter Beck of the Berrie’s likely sealed his MVP bid going 3 for 4.

The Red Sox managed to get through the game using just 2 pitchers. Chris Spry started and earned the win pitching 5.1 Innings allowing 2 runs on 5 hits, walked 3 and strikeout 3. Ayden Page did a great job entering the game in a bases loaded 1 out situation and pitched out of trouble. He cruised from that point on allowing just 2 hits and shut down the Berries.

The Championship Series is now slated to start Thursday in Regina to reduce travel.
