Regina, Sask. — The Regina Red Sox have strengthened their roster ahead of the 2026 WCBL season with the addition of utility standout Alex Roux and outfielder Isaac Low.
Roux, a redshirt senior at Spring Hill University (NCAA Division II), is enjoying a strong season in Mobile, Alabama. The Mandeville, Louisiana product is hitting .374 with three home runs and 18 RBIs across 25 games, adding two doubles, a triple, 15 walks, and 10 stolen bases in 16 attempts. Primarily deployed in right field this season, the 6-foot-1, 200-pound right-handed hitter brings valuable defensive versatility with the ability to play both the outfield and infield.
Roux’s collegiate journey has included a stop at Nicholls State last season, following three productive years at Nunez Community College from 2022–2024.
“Alex is a senior who can flat-out hit. He plays the game hard, makes consistent, solid contact, and is a tough out every time he steps to the plate,” said Red Sox Field Manager Rye Pothakos. “He’s also an RBI producer and will be a strong addition to our lineup this summer.”
Low, a freshman at Mesa Community College, has also put together an impressive campaign. The Littleton, Colorado native is batting .296 with 34 RBIs and 30 runs scored in 43 games, while posting an outstanding .430 on-base percentage. His extra-base production includes nine doubles and two triples.
The 6-foot-1, 195-pound outfielder, who attended Chatfield High School and played travel ball with the Catalyst Cardinals, adds youth, athleticism, and energy to the Red Sox roster.
“Isaac is a freshman at Mesa who swings the bat like an upperclassman.” Pothakos added. “He makes solid contact and plays the game the right way. He’s a tall, athletic player who brings energy to the field and will be a great addition to our outfield.”
With the additions of Roux and Low, the Red Sox continue to build a balanced roster featuring experienced bats and emerging talent as they prepare for the 2026 season.
