The Saskatoon Berries forced game 3 with an 8-4 win over the Sox in front of 1710 fans at Currie Field.
Regina and Saskatoon exchanged runs in the first inning before Regina took a 2-1 lead in the second inning. The Red Sox scored singles in the 5th and 6th but allowed Saskatoon to score 3 runs in the 5th and 7th innings
The Sox were led offensively by Rafael Jackson and Brady Bye (2 for 5) and Zayd Brannigan, Ian Montz and Jalen Wright (2 for 4)
The pitching was handled by just two pitchers tonight. RHP Landon Riley started and allowed only 4 runs on 4 hits but ran into trouble walking 3 batters and hitting 3 batters. Local product LHP Colton Bank pitched 4 innings allowing 4 runs on 5 hits, walked 1 and SO 1.
The Sox head to Saskatoon tonight for game 3. 7:00 PM. The winner advances to the WCBL Championship in Against Sylvan Lake Gulls.
