Regina Red Sox president Gary Brotzel announced today that the Al Englund has been named the ball club’s executive director.
“We are excited to have Al join the Red Sox organization,” said Brotzel. “He is a local business professional who has found great success in sales, marketing and administration.”
Englund, who will report to the Red Sox board of directors, will take over the day-to-day operations of the organization which includes, marketing, sponsorship and season ticket sales. Al starts April 1st and replace Graham Edge who stepped away to pursue other job opportunities.
“The Red Sox have a long and proud tradition in Regina and I am proud to be apart of it,” said Englund. “I am proud to be part of a team that has been a sporting fixture in Regina for the past 15 years.”
