Thank You Regina for Supporting WCBL Baseball In Regina

After a two year break due to Covid-19 we got back on the field in 2022! This took more effort than we expected after missing two years, it felt like starting over.

The Sox are a community owned team  and it takes the community to make it  successful.

I would like to thank a number or people specifically for making this happen”

Sponsors-

Without our sponsors we would not have the means financially to make this team viable. Ticket sales alone don’t pay the bills. We saw an increase of over 40% in sponsorship from 2019 and we can not thank you enough. We made special effort this year to create a better atmosphere at the ball park. We tried some special game days such as the Food Bank Day (Produced 3000 meals) Rider Pride Night ( Over 1200 attended) Fan Appreciation Day (Over 1300, post game fireworks). These events were aided by sponsors stepping up and getting involved in a special radio advertising spot with Harvard Broadcasting. The extra attention placed on these games through a radio and social media blitz paid off. We plan to have 8 of these vents in 2023.

Billets-

You are the home away from home for our players. You welcome our players into your home and allow them the security and friendships they need so they can perform night after night. Our season is a grind with many late nights and we thank you for opening up your home. I know there are always a few tears when the players depart back to school.

Volunteers-

As a casual fan you probably don’t notice all our help we need to run a game. Thank you to all volunteers who step up game after game to help in these positions. Ticket taking and scanning, parking, clothing sales, kids zone, ushering, 50-50 sales, beer sales, deck hosting,  scorekeeping, DJ, webcasting, PA and on field announcing. It takes a small army to run this team nightly. Hope to see you pack next year.

Fans-

Thank you to our close to 300 season ticket holders. Many of you have been buying season tickets for many years and we thank you for your continued support. We work hard to put a competitive and entertaining product on the field for your enjoyment. This year more than ever we noticed more first time fans come to the park and then return again. That is validation to us that all the effort we put into our game day operations is working. We had over 20,000 fans come to Currie Field this summer and will work hard on increasing that number next year. Thanks for buying Red Sox tickets!

The work will continue soon for the 2023 season. We will be involved in the feasibility study for the new ball park. You can show your support for the project by clicking here Petition · Stadium at the Railyards · Change.org

Thank You
